Production Planner

Location: Fort Mill, SC

Reports to: Team Lead, Planning

Overview:

We are looking for a self-motivated, detail focused individual who will be a valuable addition to the Planning team..

Reporting to a Team Lead within Planning, your role will consist of creating executable production plans, managing inventory levels and flow, delivering high levels of customer satisfaction, as well as delivering efficient schedules to the manufacturing sites. Building strong relationships with all business touchpoints, as well as being approachable, open-minded and detail oriented will be key to your success in this role.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Oversee the day to day operations of assigned manufacturing locations, concentrating on creating, implementing, and revising daily, weekly, & monthly schedules for multiple manufacturing sites.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer service to meet the inventory and delivery needs of our customers in as an efficient manner as possible.
• Understand and utilize multiple ERP systems and analytical tools
• Communicate effectively with manufacturing sites on production, loading and shipping updates and concerns
• Effective communication with cross-functional teams to identify changes in the demand/supply balance
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to seek win-win solutions and improve efficiencies
• Cross train with other members of the team.

• Basic understanding of production planning, inventory management, inventory level setting, service level setting, and optimization goals.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or a related field with 3+ years of experience in a planning/scheduling. 5+ years' experience in a planning/scheduling role may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience within a manufacturing operations environment is preferred.
• APICs certification preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook is preferred.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, such as JDE, SAP and Baan is preferred.
