Job Description
The Proposal Manager oversees and directs proposal development in response to federal Government RFPs. The proposal manager will ensure the development of compliant, high quality, and timely proposal submissions. A Proposal Manager will assist with the identification, coordination, organization and submittal of business proposals and presentations. As well as assist Business Development management personnel regarding document management, communications, and other such support. Candidate will ideally possess the following critical attributes: exceptional teamwork, working knowledge of federal procurements, flexibility, organization, and a do-whatever-it-takes attitude. Must understand documentation and proposal processes.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Thoroughly analyze all Sections of the RFP to interpret the requirements set forth by the Federal agencies
* Prepare the response outlines and assign and coordinate writing assignments both within the company and with teaming partners
* Leverage existing proposal content and develop new content as needed for proposal responses
* Lead all proposal development reviews and execute / facilitate proposal revisions
* Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the proposal writing community regarding processes, tools, and templates
* Identify repeatable strengths and strategies to incorporate into new or existing reusable content documents
Education & Experience
* 3 years of Federal proposal management experience
* Strong understanding of the Federal procurement processes
* Bachelor's degree
Certifications
* Shipley or equivalent training preferred
