Tasks include testing of finished product during and after production and warehouse inspection. Knowledge of manufacturing/processing specifications, product testing equipment, and calibration of equipment. Other skills include the ability to read close tolerance gauges, meters and tape measures.
Pay Rate: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Facer sampling
• Perform the following types of testing; Foam core density, Compressive Strength, Dimensional stability, Cold box, Facer peel (adhesion).
• Attribute testing for aesthetics
• Inputting data into the quality assurance database/SAP and SAPI system
• Factor test
• Warehouse Unit Inspection
• Understanding how to write up and use of T3P's
• Housekeeping of Plant inside and out
• Assist in training of new team members
• Understanding and Monitoring of Mahlo system.
• Fill in other areas of the plant as required
Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
• Knowledge of manufacturing/processing specifications and quality standards for products.
• Knowledge of the operation of product test equipment.
• Knowledge of safety aspects of all equipment as well as the plant's general safety policies.
• Understanding the impact of sending incorrect/defective product.
• Must Certify as a forklift operator
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience with driving a forklift
• Previous experience with Quality Testing preferred
Equipment Used:
• Measurement equipment as outlined in the Carlisle quality assurance manual
• Various tools (measurement gauges including calipers, tape measures and scales, thermal conductivity machine, various thickness measurement device and freezer temperature probe) and required PPE as needed
• Office equipment (computer, phone, kiosk)
• Computer systems (SAPI, SAP, MS programs)
Working Conditions:
• Activities occur inside an insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following.
o Temperatures exposed to both Ambient/outside temperatures.
o Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points
o Noise of industrial machinery
• Typically 40 hour per week with overtime as required
• 3rd shift Monday-Friday with weekends as required
• Fast paced 24/7 operation

Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
* Knowledge and Certified in Lock-out Tag-out Program
* Knowledge of processing specifications and quality standards for products.
* Knowledge of safety aspects of all equipment as well as the plant's general safety policies.
* Understanding the impact of sending incorrect/defective product.
* Ability to operate mobile equipment safely
Education and Experience:
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent, technical school preferred
* Experience operating a forklift
* 2 + years of pervious experience working as an operator in a manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions:
* Activities occur inside an insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following.
* Temperatures exposed to both Ambient/outside temperatures.
* Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points
* Noise of industrial machinery
* Typically, 40 hour per week with overtime as required
* Days/shift vary based on facility need
* Fast paced 24/7 operation
