The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking applications for a faculty position at the rank of Research Assistant Professor. The Department seeks outstanding investigators employing a combination of biomarker analyses and multi-disciplinary detection technologies to precision medicine to enhance the research programs on liquid biopsy for the center of Cellular and Molecular Diagnostics.
Attention will be paid particularly to applicants who has extensive experience in mass spectrometry, proteomics, peptidomics and extracellular vesicle analysis in infectious diseases. Successful applicants are expected to join Professor Tony Hu's research group and participate in projects funded by NIH and other federal extramural funding, as well as develop new projects. Responsibilities will include designing and developing novel detection platforms for disease diagnosis, supervising and mentoring undergraduate, graduate students and postdoc fellows, and contributing in grant and manuscript writing.
Qualifications include a PhD with at least three years of postdoctoral training.
