Job Details:
Pay is $20.95 per hour PLUS an additional $2.00 per hour shift differential.
Schedule: Monday through Friday: 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM Weekend (6 & 7 Day) work required, as needed.
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS GENERAL MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT SCHOOL TRAINING.
MUST PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS TASKED BY ADMINISTRATION.
I. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
The essential functions of this job includes, but are not limited to:
performing any welding repairs that may be required to any equipment in all areas.
The Welder makes any necessary welding repairs to the equipment during production Assists with regular maintenance activities as required. Assists with installation of new equipment Assists with maintenance and welding throughout the entire facility as required. Manually able to grease, change oil, and clean various plant equipment. Monitor equipment and computer boards. Work other shifts when necessary. Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules (ie. Lockout/Tagout) Must be able to comply with OSHA standards. Work very closely with other maintenance personnel in order to receive and pass along information concerning the job. Must be able to work with other devices that are very fragile and require precise attention. All other duties as requested by the supervisor. Must have valid Driver License and obtain company license.
II. MUSCULAR /SKELETAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have good hand-eye coordination Capable of moving equipment, machinery, etc., in excess of 40 pounds when needed. Must be able to work on and inspect equipment, which may involve bending, turning, stooping, twisting, and climbing. Able to move freely throughout the plant (indoors and outdoors) over and around equipment, people and obstacles. Must be able to tolerate climates ranging form very cold to very hot and form very wet to very dry. Must be able to train in and use Self-Contained Breathing Air Packs. No beards allowed for safety reasons. Must be able to communicate and get along well with others. Must be able to climb ladders Must be able to reach, lift and work overhead Must be able to walk, stand or sit for the duration of the shift
III. TYPES OF EQUIPMENT REQUIRED TO OPERATE
Multimeter Megometers Ground Testing Equipment Various small hand tools Drill press Welders Cutting tools All associated shop equipment
IV. MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, DIPLOMAS, OR TECHNICAL EXPERTISE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB
Electrical and mechanical experience preferred or two years of trade school. Must successfully complete written, oral and hands on welding and maintenance test. Must successfully pass written safety test. Must be able to work with devices that are very fragile and require precise attention. Must be able to read and write. Must have good attendance and work record. Must be able to work other shifts and learn other duties. Must be capable of training and using Self-Contained Breathing Air Packs.
