Compensation Range
Hourly: $29.30 - $44.70 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

Commerce Bank is looking for a dynamic, service-focused and technically adept individual for our Sales Development Trainer - Commercial role. The Sales Development Trainer - Commercial is responsible for aiding in the design, development and delivery of process and systems training to a variety of client-facing and non-client facing roles across our Commercial and Small Business teams. The Trainer will work with the Commercial Training Team and systems teams on the design, development, and delivery of key systems and process training.

Essential Functions

  • Support the design, development, and delivery of onboarding and systems training to a variety of client-facing sales roles across Commercial and Small Business Teams
  • Facilitate both large and small groups in both a classroom or in a virtual environment
  • Design and create classroom and online learning slide content
  • Gather and assess learning requirements to provide recommendations based on adult learning principles
  • Collect and incorporate stakeholder feedback
  • Assist with consulting efforts on strategies for change and training efforts that impact Commercial sales teams
  • Track pre-training and post-training measurements and attendance data to monitor behavior changes as a result of training
  • Coordinate training logistics and materials
  • Support and align with the internal Consultative Selling and Developmental Coaching facilitation team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with strong presentation skills to be able present both in person and virtually
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Strong customer service skills in order to make customers (internal and external) and their needs a primary focus
  • Ability to collaborate and build trust with executive and sales leadership and other stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead, a self-starter, goal oriented, and comfortable with a changing environment
  • Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player

  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 3+ years training facilitation, instructional design, and development experience required
  • 4+ years banking and/or financial services experience required
  • Delivery of training programs within a corporate environment preferred
  • Business to business sales experience preferred

**Hybrid Schedule: In office 3 days per week

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $29.30 to $44.70 per hour.
