Position Description
Coordinates grant accounting within the Clinical Research Unit for all research grant accounts within the School of Medicine - Amarillo. Responsibilities involve managing accounts for Sponsored Clinical Trials and internal/externally funded grants, budget creation, and budget reconciliation. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained.

Major/Essential Functions
- Manages pre and post-award finances for grants by reconciling accounts monthly, tracking invoices, spending, and payments received.
- Reconciling clinical trial payments.
- Assists faculty, students, and residents with purchases involving clinical research unit funds.
- Completes monthly revenue and balance reports for principle investigators and shares with with CRU director prior to distribution.
- Create budgets for investigator-initiated grant applications.

Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in business, accounting, or related field. Experience in managing accounting for grants. Experience in general accounting and bookkeeping principles. Experience with creating and reconciling budgets. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment. Knowledge of research with human subjects. Knowledge of Clinical trials.
