Senior Accountant

Salary: $85,000.00 USD Annually - $95,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant for their manufacturing facility in western Iowa. This is a highly promotable opportunity as our client is seeking candidates who can grow within their organization.

This position includes and EXTENSIVE relocation package as well!

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly closing duties, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cost allocations, and disbursements.
• Provide system administrative support for journal entry and account reconciliation systems.
• Utilize strong analytical skills to help business leads interpret financial results and support decision-making.
• Maintain the integrity of the Sage system.
• Coordinate period closing processes and perform period-end activities, including account reconciliation and journal entry preparation and review.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.
• Assist in the annual independent financial audits, including preparing necessary schedules, coordinating with auditors, and collecting schedules for the consolidated financial statements.
• Complete various year-end audit analyses, schedules, financial statement footnotes, and ad-hoc information for the company's audited financial statements and annual report.
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of business and accounting processes related to new accounting principles.
• Collaborate with corporate accounting, tax, treasury, and other departments.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA or CMA a plus, but NOT required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively.
• Proficiency in Excel and strong PC skills.
• Experience with Sage 100 preferred/SAP experience a huge plus!
