Work closely with the Defensive Backs Coach(es) to develop the Stanford Defensive Backs philosophy.Lead some Defensive Backs meetings and co-develop the Defensive Backs game plan to present to the Defensive Backs Coach(es) and the rest of the coaching staff.Make or assist in making tactical decisions during on-field practices and competitions.Perform video study of Stanford and opposing team plays to identify practice and game plan trends. Make recommendations for adjustments to Stanford's practice and game plans.Create and analyze scouting and statistical data reports supplied by PFF (Pro Football Focus). Highlight predictive statistics that give the team an edge on the competition. Present data to assistant and head coaches.Strategize and self-scout Stanford's defensive backs' game plans by analyzing trends and tendencies. Make adjustment recommendations to coaches in order to protect from weaknesses.Research and analyze opposing team's strategy, chart opponent's tendencies and propose outcomes for success. Provide insights and perspectives for each opponent to assist the coaches in creating a game plan strategy.Assist with recruiting student-athletes to compete at Stanford. Follow NCAA rules and University standards and policies in coordinating recruiting efforts.Additional duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience:Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience in football coaching, football analytics or related football administration in Division I collegiate or professional level, or a combination of education and relevant experience.Knowledge of defensive backs schemes, practice and game plans, defensive backs play books and game books at the collegiate levelExperience with video review / editing / preparation of scouting reportsExtensive knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules, policies and proceduresProficient in current football technologyExpertise in using video coaching software (i.e., Visio, XOS, HUDL, Player Link, GOROUT and Pro Football Focus)Expertise using roster management software and recruiting management software (i.e., Teamworks and ARMS)Must be willing to work long nights and weekends throughout the year, including team travel during the seasonMust be willing to travel for professional development purposesMust be willing to work outside in all climates
The expected pay range for this position is $99,766 to $120,600 per annum.
