Description:
Currently looking for a Senior FSQA/Quality Assurance Manager for a major food manufacturing company near Sioux City, Iowa and is located in the North West corner.

Responsibilities
- Manage a team of FSQA technicians, supervisors, and NSIS personnel.
- Develop, manage, train, and supervise all FSQA and NSIS hourly staff, fostering individual and team success.
- Provide technical resources to department managers and report quality deviations to appropriate personnel.
- Lead and monitor the food safety and quality assurance programs.
- Communicate with operations, purchasing, and suppliers regarding product quality and audits.
- Guide supervisors on product disposition.
- Investigate and resolve quality complaints, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Perform or oversee HACCP and GMP audits, and train employees in conjunction with the HACCP manager.
- Prioritize tasks with a focus on customer satisfaction and USDA compliance.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure timely release of products on hold.
- Participate in cross-functional management teams.
- Serve as the USDA facility contact.
- Prepare for and participate in third-party customer audits.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (food or meat science) or four+ years of experience in the meat industry
- Management experience in a manufacturing environment overseeing at least 25+ reports.
- Well-developed management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Resourceful, self-sufficient, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
