RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Orlando, FL that is seeking a Senior Network Architect who will analyze, design, and develop technical solutions to address network and infrastructure challenges. The Senior Network Architect will provide Level II/III support for networking technologies and systems, including routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, and WAN design. They will lead and mentor a team of Senior Systems Engineers and coordinate network-related projects.Responsibilities:- Team Management: Oversee Network Architects, setting priorities and providing technical guidance
- Technical Support: Provide advanced (Level II/III) support for network systems, including Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, F5 load balancers, and Infoblox NIOS
- Infrastructure & Performance: Perform capacity planning, ensuring optimal service levels (uptime, stability, performance). Recommend hardware/software purchases to management
- Troubleshooting: Lead complex troubleshooting efforts and resolve advanced network issues across all areas of IT
- Security & Compliance: Implement and administer security practices, ensuring PCI, SOX, and other regulatory compliance
- Best Practices & Automation: Develop and define best practices for network infrastructure, WAN design, and data circuits. Create automation scripts for support, monitoring, and reporting
- Documentation & Training: Develop training materials for Level I technicians and ensure knowledge sharing across teams
- Vendor Coordination: Manage data circuit orders, track outages, and work with vendors for escalation and support
- Project Participation: Collaborate on networking solutions for cross-functional projects and infrastructure needs
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS in technology or related field, or equivalent experience/certification
- Cisco and/or Juniper certifications preferred
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering, including Cisco and/or Juniper environments
- Expertise in routing/switching, DNS/DHCP, load balancing, and WAN technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in network systems
- Experience with security compliance, including PCI and SOX
- Proven ability to manage and lead technical teams
- Automation scripting experience for network monitoring and support
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
