Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer in Canton, MA.Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team in a hybrid environment. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced Power BI solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights. Join this exciting new initiative as a Senior Power BI Developer.Duties and Responsibilities:- Data Modeling: Develop and maintain robust data models, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Report Development: Design, develop, and optimize interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements
- Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers and other stakeholders to integrate data from various sources, ensuring seamless data flow
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, utilizing best practices in data visualization
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users to gather requirements, provide insights, and deliver customized solutions
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including data dictionaries, report specifications, and user guides
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, helping them to leverage Power BI tools effectively
REQUIREMENTS:
- Power BI certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) is a plus
- 9+ years of experience in business intelligence development, with a strong focus on Power BI
- Experience with SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle)
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Highly Proficient in DAX, Power Query, and data visualization best practices
- Strong communication skills (technical descriptions and diagramming, escalation, written, in-person, adaptive as appropriate to the audience, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong opinions, lightly held
- Willingness to own, research, and argue your points of view, bring new ideas to the table, but deliver according to consensus and expectations
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
