Slalom's Tristate Organizational Effectiveness practice sits within our Business Advisory Services sector and is dedicated to optimizing organizational structures, enhancing workforce capabilities, and enabling strategic growth to improve organizational and individual performance. We drive transformational change and deliver innovative solutions for our clients. Our team is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Principal to help lead and expand our OE practice.
Our Tristate market supports a variety of clients across New York, New Jersey, and southern Connecticut. Candidates will be expected to live within commuting distance of one of our offices in Lower Manhattan, White Plains, NY, or New Brunswick, NJ to support and be onsite with clients in any of these locations.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Principal in our OE team, you will play a pivotal role in leading complex initiatives across organizational design, operating model design and implementation, workforce transitions, and change management. You will collaborate with senior leaders, drive strategic engagements, and contribute to business development efforts to expand our client base. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong consulting background and a proven track record in managing high-impact projects, managing c-suite relationships, and driving growth. Responsibilities include:
• Revenue Impact: Drive sales by proactively identifying opportunities for Slalom to deliver. Senior Principals will have a responsibility of $2.5M+ in revenue.
• Strategic Solutioning:Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and statements of work (SOW) to drive business growth. Identify opportunities for Slalom in Business Advisory Services, both in existing and new environments. Understand the breadth of our offerings across the company, to bring the best of Slalom to our clients and be able to sell OE alongside our other practices. Align OE offerings with sector needs, by having a deep understanding of at least one of the sectors we serve (e.g. Retail, Public Sector, Finance, etc.).
• Lead:Manage a team of up to 5 direct reports and ensure each direct report understands performance expectations and regularly solicits and provides performance feedback. Maximize staffability of self and team with a self-utilization target of 60% and 75% for team. Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Advance the OE practice by authoring thought leadership and leading the development of methodologies.
• Consulting: Develop, shape, and deliver programs from design and implementation of innovative, inclusive of organizational structures and operating models that align with business objectives and drive operational excellence. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations to address complex challenges and drive strategic growth across the following capabilities:
o Change Management:Experience with implementing organizational change management for wide range of change to include operating models, technology or system changes, new organizational design, and implementation of AI/other technical tools within an organization. High level of comfort with tailoring change management activities to the sold offering within the organization.
o Organizational Design: Experience with organizational strategy and operating model (talent, structure, governance) to solution structuring and designing organizational teams to meet future business needs, strategy, and objectives. Experience with how technology is impacting the people part of organizations (culture, teams, work and job responsibilities.)
o Talent Optimization: Understanding and experience of HR principles to include talent management, talent strategy, and workforce planning. Experience in organizational assessments, talent acquisition, competency planning, and leadership development.
What You'll Bring
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in organizational design, operating models, workforce transition, and change management within a consulting firm and a bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
•Consulting experience: Proven track record in consulting, leading strategic projects and delivering measurable results
• Leadership: Passion for leading, mentoring and developing people. Strong relationship building skills to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams. Ability to influence and persuade leaders and various stakeholders at all levels.
• Business Development: Deep experience in growing existing client relationships and expanding new accounts as well as maintaining formal revenue targets.
• Team and Growth Mindset: Desire and mindset to work within a matrixed team structure with multiple stakeholders. Desire to learn and develop oneself and team members.
• OE Expertise:Deep familiarity and passion with all things related to the people part of an organization-change, culture, diversity, learning, leadership, talent. Deep understanding of using organizational design as an integral component of transformational initiatives, developing and executing strategies for workforce transition and talent optimization to align with organizational goals, and change management to ensure successful adoption and sustainable impact of transformation efforts.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $167,000-258,000 In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
