Position: Senior Project Accountant
Location: San Rafael, Burlingame, or Pleasant Hill
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: Up to $115K

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Billings:
  Oversee accurate preparation and tracking of project and residential billings, ensure timely entry into Sage, and analyze billing reports for completeness.
  
• Collections:
  Manage accounts receivable, communicate professionally with clients on payment statuses, and lead weekly AR meetings with leadership.
  
• Subcontractor Payments:
  Review and process subcontractor invoices, ensure compliance with deadlines, and provide accurate AP approvals for payment.
  
• Compliance:
  Track and manage compliance requirements, including lien releases, certified payroll, union letters, and project-specific reports.
  
• Cost Management:
  Set up and maintain job budgets in Sage, handle cost coding adjustments, prepare reports, and support project closeouts.
  

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or 4+ years of related experience required.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and software such as Timberline/Sage300, HCSS, or Sage Paperless is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and attention to detail.
