Baer is looking for Senior SAP Funds Management Functional SME for a 9-month Federal project located in Kansas City, MO.

Title: Senior SAP Funds Management Functional SME
Location: Hybrid - Kansas City, MO
Duration: 9 months
Rate: All-inclusive

Description:

• Lead efforts to gather and document the client's business process requirements related to SAP Funds Management (FM).
• Develop detailed configuration rationales and system designs to meet client-specific business process requirements, ensuring alignment with FM processes such as Budget Planning and Execution, Funds Commitment and Release, and Funds Transfer.
• Implement functional SAP solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring integration and compatibility with other SAP modules and systems.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies and manage large-scale, complex testing efforts to ensure solution quality and functionality.
• Create associated documentation such as RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflow) objects, test models, test scripts, and other relevant documentation for solution deployment.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and configuration support for SAP Funds Management processes, including those that interface with other applications.
• Facilitate interactions between technical and functional counterparts to ensure that the final solutions meet all functional requirements, ensuring seamless delivery and integration.
• Leverage experience with budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and work planning to support financial processes and ensure accurate planning and execution of funds management activities.
• Lead, mentor, and train junior team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and continued development of team skills and capabilities.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA, and Funds Management (FM) functional experience.
• Proven team lead experience, with the ability to manage and guide a team of functional and technical resources.
• Strong functional expertise in SAP Funds Management, including key processes such as Budget Planning and Execution, Funds Commitment and Release, Funds Centers Management, and Funds Transfer.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and execute large-scale implementations and complex system configurations.
• U.S. Citizenship required for eligibility in federal projects.
• Familiarity with federal finance regulations and systems, with experience working in the public sector.
• Federal government experience in SAP Finance or Funds Management, with a focus on federal financial processes.
• SAP S/4 HANA experience, particularly in Funds Management, and other integrated SAP modules.
• Relevant SAP certifications (such as SAP Certified Application Associate or SAP Certified Professional).
• Experience working in Manufacturing (MFG) or Energy sectors is highly preferred.

Public trust security clearance is the lowest level of additional background screening that the federal government requires for applicants of certain jobs, which includes completing a form.
