Job Description: Senior US Marketing Manager - Acute Lab

The Senior US Marketing Manager - Acute Lab, is accountable for the BD MAX™ and BD COR™ instrument platforms in the US Region. These high growth and innovative platforms require a high energy, experienced and gritty candidate who will take responsibility for execution of the downstream marketing plan within the US. With accountability for the BD MAX™ and BD COR™ System P&L, marketing planning executional excellence and portfolio value propositions, this role is a fantastic opportunity for a talented marketer.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and owns US execution and implementation plans of regional brand strategy, identifying and prioritizing key targets for growth and communicating product value and embedding strong customer centric focus into portfolio
  • Earn trust and maintain engaging and inspiring relationships with multiple functions within the U.S. Regional Team, including but not limited to sales, service, contracts, and global marketing, to deliver best-in-class marketing tailored to the market and the customer they serve.
  • Works with Marketing Communications and Regional/Global Molecular Disease State marketing to deliver comprehensive and effective omnichannel campaigns that drive impact
  • Report against KPIs and ROI of these tactical activities back to the Director of Marketing and other key stakeholders, making proactive recommendations for improvements.
  • With guidance from the global team, develop regular U.S. brand and platform updates, including targeting, messaging, research, customer personas, and value propositions.
  • Lead marketing plans and ASR global guidance for the portfolio, creating and setting clear vision, strategies, and goals for U.S. tactical success.
  • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of current MDx markets, customers, and patients the product serves.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, ensuring they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Partners with other regional disease state marketing team to coordinate a strong value proposition linking assay expansion through clinical differentiation and molecular automation
  • Collaborates with Global Marketing team, channel team and other functional teams to ensure effective communication and shared delivery of the portfolio goals
  • Partners with Marketing Operations and finance to support and deliver a robust forecast and budget cycle.
  • Works closely with regional sales training teams to update and develop sales training tools

  • Strategic thinking and implementation skills; proven analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable plans; demonstrated ability to develop and implement marketing and product strategies, convert them into tactical marketing plans, execute and deliver results.
  • Creative out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious, stays current on new trends, and takes calculated risks with novel ideas.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills - written and oral.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues, team members, customers, and potential or existing business partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically to customer sites and meetings at least 20% of the time


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial roles, 3+ years in product and/or market management
  • Minimum of 3+ years of business experience in the Molecular Acute Laboratories preferred
  • Experience in identifying market opportunities, market segmentation, competitive analysis, pricing strategy and go to market models and strategies.
  • Demonstrates effective communication and presentation skills
  • Displays an understanding of product/claim launches, lifecycle management, business strategy planning, comprehensive market assessment and financial justification/analysis using product line financial management tools.
  • Has a history of achieving and delivering against key objectives, platform growth and timelines. it, but they need to be part of the inputs


Primary Work Location and Additional Considerations:
  • Franklin Lakes, NJ or Sparks, MD
  • We encourage Candidates near our BD Location of: Franklin Lakes, NJ or Sparks, MD (MD is preferred) - for this Hybrid role.
  • This is a Hybrid role that requires you to be at your assigned worksite 3 days out of the week and up to 2 days from home. Local policies may apply. BD may change your work arrangement based on business needs .
