IDR is seeking a Service Desk Technician to join one of our top clients in Downtown, Nashville area. THIS WILL BE A OVERNIGHT SHIFT (6pm-6am) on a rotating 3 days on, 2 days off schedule.
Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Service Desk Technician:
- Provide and facilitate support for technology issues encountered by our client's team in a 24/7 environment - Monitor our client's electrical and network systems for stability and service continuation - Diagnose and resolve incidents using documented procedures - Perform or monitor system health checks or maintenance tasks following established procedures - Understand and maintain basic knowledge of server operating systems, file systems, data center critical infrastructure, and basic data recovery - Train and orient customers in the use of hardware and software as needed - Be available to answer phones at all times and take ownership of, and resolve/action customer emails within established timelines
Required Skills for Service Desk Technician:
- Excellent customer service skills, understanding the role of being the Voice of the Customer - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Experience working in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently - Ability to identify and lead resolution of problems to provide better service to customers - Experience with contact centers, and or Helpdesk - Experience using, and troubleshooting Microsoft products such as Windows, Office, etc.
