Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Hybrid role, must be local to Portland, OR
Overview: As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within our organization. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business objectives, analyze processes, and design efficient systems to enhance productivity and achieve strategic goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our company by leveraging your analytical skills and technical expertise.
What You'll Do:
• Work closely with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing ones.
• Conduct thorough analysis of current business processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend innovative solutions to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design comprehensive system solutions that align with business objectives and technical constraints.
• Create clear and concise documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, and system workflows to facilitate communication and ensure project alignment.
• Develop test plans, execute test cases, and conduct user acceptance testing to validate system functionality and ensure adherence to business requirements.
• Facilitate change management processes by assisting in the development of training materials, conducting user training sessions, and providing post-implementation support to ensure smooth transition and user adoption.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve business processes and drive innovation within the organization.
What You'll Bring:
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to critically evaluate complex business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of solving complex problems and translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, database concepts, and proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Visio, Excel, and SQL.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed business expectations.
- Understanding of business principles and the ability to align technology solutions with strategic business objectives.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the pay range is $50/hour to $60/hour.
