Job Title: Software Engineer (Contingent Resource)

Location: Des Moines, IA

Job Description:

As a Software Engineer in this contingent resource assignment, you will:

• Participate in initiatives of low to moderate complexity and identify opportunities for process improvements within Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze basic or tactical Software Engineering assignments or challenges, requiring research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives related to low-to-medium risk deliverables.
• Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing an understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Provide information and support to client personnel in Software Engineering.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 2+ years of Java development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Spring Boot-based application development.
• Experience with Angular or related UI frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile Development methodologies.
• Experience with Tomcat application server.
• Experience with MongoDB or related NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Oracle databases.
• Experience with Kafka or related data streaming technologies.
• Cloud certification from any cloud provider.
• Experience in cloud-native microservices development based on Event-Driven Architecture.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design principles.
• Experience with application non-functional requirements, including monitoring (APM tools), logging (Splunk), and distributed tracing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Contract Details:

This position is eligible for contract-to-hire.
