Summary:
Responsible for interrogation, interpretation, and re-programming of cardiac devices.

Detailed responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot critical device issues and take immediate steps toward resolution via programming changes outlined within clinic protocol.
• Communication with office cardiologists regarding device and arrhythmia status as well as accurately documenting device analysis in EMR.
• Educate patients on all aspects of their device and the importance of adheres to scheduled device services.
• Ensure programming room is stocked with supplies and equipment is in good working order.
• Ensures proper billing/scheduling of all remote and in office interrogations.
• Calls non-wireless patients to ask them to send transmissions. Once received, transmissions are reviewed, interpreted and the device is checked. The patient is notified if there is something that needs to be reviewed. All information is documented in EMR for future review.
• Responsible for responding to phone and email alerts. If something lies outside normal parameters the appropriate alert is triggered.
• Introduces home monitoring to all patients and coordinates all necessary steps for smooth enrollment.

• PATIENT ASSESSMENT AND CARE: Assesses and provides patient care prior to, during and/or after procedures; considering medical condition, age and diversity.
• PATIENT AND FAMILY CENTERED CARE: "Provides Patient and Family Centered Care to patients, families, visitors and internal customers"
