Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Accountant

This position is onsite in Melbourne, FL - MUST be local.
This is direct hire

MUST HAVE experience in cost accounting and ERP systems

We are seeking a full-time Senior Accountant who will work with financial and operational data. This position will be responsible for managing key performance indicators, analyzing and evaluating financial results, as well as assisting in the monthly management reporting package.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze monthly results and articulate actionable recommendations to senior management to ensure financial results are achieved.
• Assist in the preparation of the company's monthly financial statements.
• Participate in the preparation of the annual department budget and company consolidated budgets; develop and update monthly/quarterly forecasts as required.
• Reconcile balance accounts and prepare monthly account analyses; research and resolve reconciliation differences on a monthly basis.
• Handle month-end close activities, including posting and reviewing journal entries as required.
• Manage fixed assets and capital appropriations for multiple facilities.
• Develop dashboards to scale the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and other management tools to drive efficiencies and business growth throughout the organization.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline required.
• Minimum of five years of accounting experience required.
• Proficiency in SAP or a related ERP system.
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
