Sr. Legal Billing Advisor

**Hybrid 2 days onsite, 3 days REMOTE**

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the billing and collection strategy for assigned partners and practice groups, ensuring compliance with client requirements and firm best practices.
• Monitor and address aged accounts receivable (AR), including follow-up on underpayments and escalating unresolved issues to partners and management.
• Provide detailed financial updates, including AR status, unbilled time, and projections, via reports, metrics, and presentations for senior management and practice leaders.
• Train and guide billing teams on client best practices, outside counsel guidelines, and billing processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Collaborate with finance teams such as Pricing Operations and eBilling to ensure accurate invoice submissions, reporting, and adherence to client agreements.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve billing accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and client requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of billing and client relationship experience in a law firm or professional services firm.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Aderant billing software is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, effective at all levels, especially with attorneys and partners.
• Strong knowledge of billing and collections processes, with the ability to investigate and resolve issues effectively.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines, demonstrating strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
