Sr. Manager Data Operations - Hybrid

Job Description

We are looking for our next Sr. Manager, Data Operations as we accelerate our growth journey.

What you'll do:

  • Manage and Lead the Data Operations team consisting of data warehouse developers, ETL data engineering experts, and BI report writers
  • Operational management of data processing lifecycle, identifying actionable improvements and optimizations to support growing complexity and demand
  • Proactively meet with key business stakeholders to help define requirements, design and model data capabilities, and deliver business-driven data service and products, reporting and analytics
  • Hands-on approach to user community data/report training and problem/resolution management
  • Manage the data projects portfolio, represent IT in the Data CoE, and participate in large cross-functional projects and programs
  • Monitor, triage, and assign data operations work captured through IT service desk, IT Demand intake, IT Business Partner, and other data and analytics demand intake channels
  • Establish and document data operations policies and procedures including data pipeline topology and roadmaps, data source lineage and data processing schedules and calendars
  • Represent IT Data and Analytics function on all internal boards and committees such as Change Advisory Board, Architecture Review Board, and Data CoE, IT Demand Intake Committee

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and or Data Science and Engineering
  • 8 to 10 Years' people and data/analytics technology operational management
  • Expert experience with data warehouse design, data modeling, ETL design and cloud-first data integration techniques, report development and data visualization concepts
  • Strong familiarity with database concepts RDBMS technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL, Snowflake, fact and dimensional modeling concepts, and emerging trends around ML/AI capabilities
  • Strong familiarity with AWS technologies such as Redshift, EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue
  • Proficiency with Tableau, Tableau Server, Informatica, SSIS
  • Strong Financials, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales Operations, Service, and FP&A business acumen including forecast, demand planning, month end close processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization: interpret user requirements, identify the root cause, research possible solutions, identify most feasible solutions
  • Strong vendor management and IT procurement skills for technology evaluation, selection, contract processing and license renewals
  • Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills
  • Proficient in prioritizing, multi-tasking and managing multiple projects using work management tools such as Jira, ITSM, MS Teams
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and have an eye for detail, good data intuition, and a passion for data quality
