Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing all rendering operations, including both production and mechanical aspects. Key responsibilities include ensuring the production of high-quality products in a safe, clean, and efficient environment, while ensuring subordinates adhere to all company policies and procedures. The role involves the timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports, as well as the completion of any additional tasks as assigned. Additionally, this position will cover for the maintenance department when the designated supervisor is absent and will assume all responsibilities of the General Supervisor when necessary, acting as their designee.

Job Requirements and preferences:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional relevant certifications or training in rendering, mechanical, or production management is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in rendering operations, including both production and mechanical oversight, is preferred. Proven management experience in a production or manufacturing environment is highly desirable. Experience in maintenance supervision or support is a plus.

Technical Skills: Understanding of rendering processes, equipment, and safety protocols.

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues within rendering operations. Familiarity with production standards, product quality control, and process efficiency improvements.

Leadership & Management Skills: Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams. Experience in training and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures. Ability to handle scheduling, manage team performance, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for submitting daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Ability to communicate clearly with team members and across departments.

Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in computer skills for reporting and tracking purposes. Familiarity with relevant software for production tracking and communication is preferred.

Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving skills to handle production or mechanical issues promptly and efficiently. Ability to make decisions and act independently in the absence of the General Supervisor or Maintenance Supervisor.

Adaptability: Flexibility to cover additional responsibilities in the maintenance department when required. Willingness to act as the designee for the General Supervisor, taking on full responsibility during their absence.
