Structural Analysis Engineer 3 - BCA Doors
Location: Everett/Renton, WA
Job Description
- Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design.
- Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
- Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics, and performance.
- Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
- Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
- Works under general direction.
*100% onsite in Everett or Renton, WA
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)
• Minimum 8 years' experience; experience must include prior job role in Airplane Structures Stress Analyst/Engineer.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Experience with Fatigue, Damage Tolerance, and/or Finite Element Analysis
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis
• Experience with Boeing Stress Analysis tools such as: FEADMS, IAS, SA, MossDuberg,
• Experience navigating CATIA, PDM/ENOVIA
• Stress Analysis review and integration experience with supplies and global partners
• 777 Wing and Fuselage Structural Analysis
• BCA Doors/Windows/Landing Gear Analysis
• System Structures: Flight controls, Mechanical Hydraulics, High lift, Electrical, and/or ECS system installation stress analysis experience.
• Propulsion Structures: experience qualifying supplier equipment, stress analysis on transport elements (tubes, ducts, hydraulic lines, fuel lines, wires). Hydro-mechanical actuators
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in one of the following engineering majors: Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
