Purpose:
Primary responsibility is to manage service employees to ensure the efficient and productive completion of assigned work/projects. Mentor and actively assist in enhancing the skill development of employees to ensure employee growth and development to become a leader within the organization. Individual must possess a thorough working knowledge of operating procedures and provides support to other operations staff; resolves complaints; responds to gas emergency situations and/or facilitates Gas Operations response protocols to emergency situations. Responds to all emergency situations, fulfills overtime assignments and on-call/office/field coverage as directed. Provides both the administrative and managerial supervision of bargaining unit employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily activities of employees and be responsible for the efficient distribution of work to field forces and the processing of gas emergencies, installation, service, repair, and the safe operation of company-owned gas equipment in accordance with applicable codes pertaining to natural gas including company, state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, and standards.
Establish and update daily work order assignment/schedule for use by dispatchers and maintain satisfactory scheduling times for field operations maintenance activities.
Identify and implement best practices across the companies to ensure a productive and efficient organization.
Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of administrative departmental activities, not limited to, Operator Qualification compliance, training, vacations, shift scheduling, and other items as needed.
Directly assist the Lead Supervisor in identifying development areas and developing performance improvement initiatives for the company.
Support field activities/programs and act as liaison with all other departments and customers pertaining to functions/responsibilities within the department. Collaborates with others regarding the administration and compliance of all codes and standards to ensure the safe delivery of natural gas to our customers.
Responsible for processing payroll, overtime, and tracking employee productive/unproductive work time.
Ensure all employees fully understand their personal responsibility and accountability to adhere to standards of performance and departmental objectives regarding safety and all other work-related activities.
Provides input to and oversees the budget for the assigned work group.

Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: 10 Years of strong gas operations or 5 Years Field Experience/ Equivalent Degree
Candidate must have at least 10 years of very strong gas operations or HVAC experience, or 5 years of field experience or an equivalent degree. Must be qualified as a first responder. Must have administrative, communication, and decision-making abilities. Strong leadership/managerial skills required. Must be available 24/7/365 to support gas emergency situations. A bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred.
Strong quantitative skills with a proven ability to use/produce spreadsheets or other similar programs, strong written and verbal skills, and a proven ability to use MS Office. Must be self-directed and have demonstrated initiative and assertiveness skills. Proven ability to multitask in a fast paced, mission critical environment. Gas industry operations experience is required. Technical knowledge in gas utilization and excellent customer service skills required.
