Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and technically sound Tax Manager, Property Tax with a solid track record of business personal property tax compliance, appeals, and budgeting for all company business units. Our compliance activities span all U.S. taxing jurisdictions. The Tax Manager will support Senior Tax Managers, Senior Directors and Vice President of Indirect Taxes with day-to-day tasks as needed for all aspects of the property tax function.

The job location is Irving, Texas; qualified remote candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurately prepare, conduct and/or review all aspects of multi state/national business personal property tax compliance on properties of assigned portfolio utilizing PTMS tax software.
• Organize accurate record-keeping of the filed tax returns and supporting workpapers and documentation in the format regularly maintained by McKesson.
• Assist with data gathering and manipulation of fixed assets, inventory and supplies from SAP/Oracle, PeopleSoft and JDE ERP systems.
• Reconcile balance sheets and income statements to the general ledger.
• Reconcile property tax accrual and expense accounts.
• Prepare data for review prior to uploading into PTMS as necessary for business personal property tax compliance.
• Assist in the development, design, implementation and adoption of PTMS tax software upgrades, change requests and enhancements as they pertain to tax functionality.
• Assist with review of valuation and assessments to recommend appeal of business personal property.
• Review tax returns/bills or other documents to ensure tax compliance of assigned portfolio.
• Assist with complex valuation projects to drive tax savings opportunities, including management of credits and incentives.
• Support tax technology needs as they relate to compliance, reporting, analytics and controls. Support tax technology process and requirements throughout the development life cycle (i.e., requirements documentation, test plans, validation, production support, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field.

• 5 to 8 years' experience in real and personal property tax, including filing business personal property tax renditions.
• Proficient in computer skills and applications including Word, Excel, property tax compliance software such as PTMS, and ERP systems such as SAP, JDE, PeopleSoft.
• Proven ability to analyze and review large data sets in Excel and other mediums.
• Strong organization, time management, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Positive, driven and energetic; enjoys "rolling up your sleeves" to get the job done in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PTMS tax software

Certified Public Accountant

CMI or professional designation

Experience and proficiency in automation tools and technologies, including with data analytics tools and techniques, such as data extraction, transformation, and visualization (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau)

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$105,800 - $176,400
