DNV - Energy's Sustainable Energy Use - Energy Management group is seeking a Technical Program Manager - Utility to join our Product Innovation & Development team, to manage the day-to-day operations of portfolio programs directed at providing energy efficiency products to business customers, contractors, and trade allies.

This role is based at our DNV office in Okemos, MI, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.

What You'll Do

  • Program management, working closely with utility client personnel to monitor program/project results including energy savings, quality assurance
  • Manage performance of subcontractors
  • Coordinate implementation of Energy Efficiency Products/Services with customers; on-site visits and customer interviews
  • Review and process invoices
  • Facilitate analysis of energy efficiency products
  • Build strategies for achieving program goals and increasing energy efficiency
  • Develop recommendations to improve the program as needed
  • Project budget management and tracking of performance against goals
  • Coordinate, schedule and assist in managing live events
  • Deliver presentations/trainings to a variety of stakeholders including utility clients, customers, community organizations, trade allies on energy efficient technologies and program incentives
  • Preparation of written reports

What is Required
  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • 2 years of relevant experience of Program Management is required
  • Knowledge of equipment and strong management skills needed
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills for customer communication
  • Experience delivering presentations or other public forums
  • Budget and data management experience
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactively seeks to identify real customer needs and manages customer expectations accordingly
  • Team player with positive attitude and ability to work effectively with different teams
  • Solid problem-solving capabilities
  • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 5% of the time
  • Physical Requirements - position will require onsite inspections and walking of the customer's locations. Some light climbing
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
What is Preferred
  • Bachelor's in engineering, science, or energy is preferred
  • Experience in the Utility sector segment
