Job Summary:
The associate will perform test activities to ensure that products conform to specifications and are fit for use. The position reports directly to Quality Assurance Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1) Perform all activities related to the testing of medical devices including but not limited to:
• Receiving product from manufacturing
• Creating and maintaining records in SAP or other systems as required by ISO standards and regulations
• Performing tests according to established procedures
• Maintaining equipment logs and performing preventive maintenance on test equipment
• Cleaning and preparing sample parts prior to testing
• Operating computerized systems (e.g., PAT, SPC software, etc.)
• Preparing calibration logs
• Verifying packaging & labeling materials and components for conformance to internal and external requirements
• Conducting regular visual inspection of packaged product
• Loading and unloading product to/from pallets using pump trucks or pallet jacks
2) Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Previous quality control or production experience preferred.
• Good understanding of ISO standards and regulatory requirements for medical devices preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plastics injection molding, extrusion blow molding, or other applicable processes preferred.
• Basic knowledge of pharmaceuticals preferred.
• Knowledge of biological indicators and terminal sterilization methods preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, optical comparators, scales, and gauges.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Proficient computer skills required, especially Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be willing to participate in cross-functional projects.
• This position requires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
