Tutor SheltonSalary: $18.20 - $24.23 per hour*Classification: General TutorLocation: Shelton CampusReports to: Director of Tutoring *This recruitment is to establish an applicant pool for future vacancies. Individuals will be contacted as vacancies occur.Olympic College is continuously recruiting for an Instruction & Classroom Support Tech- Tutor position that may occur throughout the year for various departments at the Shelton Olympic College Campus. This position will be responsible for helping students develop abilities in the discipline in which they are working. Disciplines are based on student needs and will include Biology, Chemistry, Composition, Engineering, English, Languages, Mathematics, and Writing. Part-time positions at the college are open continuously and reviewed on a quarter-by-quarter basis. Individuals who apply to the applicant pool are considered active for 12 months from the application date and may be contacted when vacancies occur. Completion of course(s) to be tutored with an average decimal grade of 3.5 or higher.Basic computer competencySuccessful Applicants willDemonstrate excellence in tutoring subject area.Follow campus regulations local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and ordinances.Work various hours.Work successfully in high-attendance, high-volume study centers.Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.Establish and maintain effective working relationships.Be adaptable and flexible.Possess excellent customer service skills; including building and maintaining internal/external customer satisfaction.Possess an appreciation of diversity and the benefits of a commitment to cultural awareness and sensitivity in the workplace.Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the Olympic College mission, vision, and values.Demonstrate ethics, integrity, and sound professional judgmentAdditional InformationTerms of Employment
