The University of Chicago's Department of Neurology seeks full-time vascular neurology clinical faculty members to join its growing vascular neurology program. The University of Chicago is a designated comprehensive stroke center and has a high-volume emergency department caring for the south side community in Chicago and beyond. In recent years, there has been significant growth in acute stroke interventions and telestroke partnerships.

Appointees will have both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities for patients requiring vascular neurological care. The location of services will be primarily oriented to the University of Chicago Medical Center's Hyde Park campus, though participation in the telestroke service is anticipated.

We especially welcome candidates with research experience and a history of, or currently holding, extramural funding. Leadership opportunities in the Department may be available. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Neurology, 4) have completed a Vascular Neurology fellowship, and (5) be board-certified or eligible in Vascular Neurology.
