Position Overview:
This position purchases and manages securitized and individual federally guaranteed loan investments to create value for the organization and seeks to achieve the company's portfolio diversification objectives. This position offers a hybrid work option (up to 50%/40%/etc. remote), and is open to any Compeer office location in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Essential Functions:

  • Searches for potential investments and gathers necessary information for determining acceptability.
  • Prepares, analyzes and summarizes investment models to determine eligibility, feasibility, prepayment risk, and economic returns of investment options.
  • Evaluates investment offerings, ensures fit with diversification and performance objectives, makes and executes investment decisions.
  • Develops and maintains external relationships for the purpose of developing new business.
  • Services, re-prices, and manages existing loan portfolio through lead lenders, brokers, and federal agencies.
  • Monitors market trends and applies knowledge to investment decision strategy.
  • Generates acceptable return for risk and achieves satisfactory administration of the investment portfolio.

Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or related field.
  • 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Skill in utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness.
  • Oral and written communication skills sufficient to discuss a variety of job-related topics, and to effectively. Communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences.
  • Skill in gathering, compiling and organizing information.
  • Skill in analyzing information to formulate logical and objective conclusions.
  • Skill in analyzing complex financial data by using logic and quantitative reasoning.
  • Skill in negotiating complex agreements to achieve the best outcome for the organization.
  • Expert knowledge in Farm Credit Administration rules and regulations.
  • Expert knowledge in credit and finance functions.
  • Expert knowledge in government guarantee programs such as SBA/USDA/FSA.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. Compeer is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
