SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to work with and guide a multi-disciplined team of professionals to protect human health the environment and property as established with the Chief Environmental Officer and Operations senior management team aligned with strategic operating plans and business unit performance metrics consistent with Tyson Core Values.

Responsibilities include: protect the environment and assets related to Tyson operations in partnership with business unit operations; have and develop qualified and effective Team Members in the positions of wastewater supervisors and operators in partnership with business unit operations; promptly communicate wastewater compliance issues to appropriate Tyson management team in partnership with business unit operations; review and develop new technologies for the benefit of Tyson and in partnership with business units operations; and help maintain and or assist facilities in the implementation of a current environmental system per the current Environmental Management System.

The position will require coverage for all three shifts as needed. Under normal circumstances, the individual will need to allocate to A-Shift. However, in the event of issues arising, they must be available to address the shift requiring attention, including graveyard shifts, nights and/or weekends.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree; natural science or engineering preferred.

Experience: 6 plus years experience in wastewater compliance field.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Supervisory: n/a

Travel: 3-4 trips per month
