Position Overview:

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our full-time team in Acworth, GA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients, including preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Conduct thorough physical examinations and medical histories to assess patients' health status and develop personalized treatment plans.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms, to aid in diagnosis and treatment.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.

Educate patients and their families about health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.

Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in electronic medical records systems.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based practice guidelines to optimize patient outcomes.

Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold ethical standards of practice.

Qualifications:

Medical degree from an accredited medical school.

Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.

Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Georgia.

DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.

Excellent clinical skills and diagnostic abilities.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Experience working in a primary care setting preferred.
